First Game!
Well technically it was the second but it was the first official game this Saturday the 16th. Orange vs. Purple with orange coming out as the champions for the evening. Orange seemed like the underdogs but within the first 20 minutes of the game, had already caught their first flag.
The game ended only a little over an hour after it started so the teams decided they wanted to play another round. With a few folks from the winning team having to leave, teams needed to be reordered so we had an impromtu old-school draft. With the two players who, by their own admission, did the least amount of work during the first game as the draft leaders, teams were selected.
A coin was tossed and the newly assembled Purple team picked their side of the field. Even with the new teams the Orange team came out as champions again, offically making the color orange PDX Capture's first lucky hue.
Thank you to all of those who came out. You all played so incredibly well and even though scrapes and bites and bruises and blood were present, everyone seemed to have a blast (also verbally confirmed this :)...) Thank you to Walter, Ben, Reek, Angel, Aubrey, Tony, Keara, Juan, Dwayne, Alexis, Courtney, Kyle, Evan, Daylynn, Kirsten, Ashley, and Ryan. I look forward to seeing you all at future games.
