About Us

The Game

PDX Capture is an adult capture the flag summer league consisting of 6 teams with 10 to 12 players on a team. Over the course of 6 weeks each team plays one another in order to win the ultimate title of Champion. PDX Capture was born only in the summer of 2014 but has already gained devoted players. With 5 successful games under our belts, PDX Capture is ready to be the newest hit summer activity.

Our Mission

We promise to wear your ass out and to make sure you have the kind of fun you had as a kid.

The Facilitators

My name is Jess. I am the brainchild behind PDX Capture. I have been in Portland for 4 years and am a full time caregiver. Fingers crossed, I will be starting nursing school in the next year so the next time I roll my ankle during a game, hopefully I'll know the difference between a break and sprain...should save me a little money. I am committed to working my ass off to make kick ass games and I'm who you talk to when you want to bitch about the rules!

El Presidente

My name is Daylynn, I’m an artist and educator. I moved to Portland a little over a year ago and came across a flyer for PDX Capture while walking my hairless dog. I thought, wow, these must be rad humans. I needed friends (and lets be honest, some exercise) so I joined. Turns out they are in fact rad. I also discovered that I take capture the flag super seriously, so watch out.

El Vice Presidente

I'm Katie. I was involved in the founding game of PDX Capture. I'm not a big runner, but a hell of a jail guard unless you've got something to offer. Considered wicked intimidating due to my tendancy to start shouting in German at random bystanders. In my real life, I'm committed to saving animals, one blood machine at a time. Accomplished catlady and drinker of cartons of fine wines. See ya on the field, bitches!

Fraulein Secretary

My name is Langdon. I live with El Presidente and Fraulein Secretary and was also involved in the founding game of capture the flag. I am a writer, illustrator and the voice you hear on those safety instruction videos your job requires you to watch. Just wear your damn PPE, people! But seriously, be careful on the field and welcome to the thunder dome.
